Community Impact

The Dead Swede is more than bikes on gravel. It’s a community-supported and community supporting event.

Bicycle Advocacy

Gravel Bicycling is the quickest growing segment of organized bicycle events in the world. Most bike shops are moving more gravel bikes and gear than road bikes. With the Dead Swede’s many distances available to participants we not only are able to introduce people to gravel bike riding but as they improve, they have the chance to accomplish further distances and really enjoy the sport of gravel bicycling. We find that as families participate in our events, the sport of cycling becomes a part of their family fitness regimen.
